When is Tom Brady eligible for the Hall of Fame?

brave catToday’s retirement announcement has stunned the NFL world.

The morning after appearing at 80 For Brady The film’s frontman, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots legend, announced his retirement in a simple but emotional video posted to social media.

Tom Brady will be eligible for HOF one year later Ben Roethlisbergerwho also announced his retirement after 18 seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers a year ago.

The Hall requires a player to have been retired for at least five years before being considered. With Brady’s FINAL retirement on Today, February 1, 2023, five years from now it will be 2028.

Tom Brady is more likely to get his team to the championship game (70%) than any QB to complete a pass.

He’s the best QB in NFL history, twice.

Brady has the most TDs, Yards, Wins, total MVPs and Super Bowls in history

A keyed first voter hall (like Barry Bonds should have been), Tom Brady will be eligible for the NFL Hall of Fame in the Summer of 2028.

I think Tom deserves credit for knowing when his run is over and pulling the trigger.

Sure, Twitter will be flooded with over a million keyboard heroes saying “I’ll play for another year with only X million dollars he can make in another year – great not needing that money” !”

It is easy to forget that these public icons are also people. Just think about traveling across the country, sleeping in random hotel beds, eating random food in random places, while essentially being the voice on the other end of the phone to friends, family and loved ones. It must be DISCHARGED.

Tom Brady has won more Super Bowl rings than any other player in NFL history after winning their seventh championship in Super Bowl 55.

Among the Hall of Fame quarterbacks, Brady has almost twice as many rounds as his next closest rivals.

Joe Montana There are four. Terry Bradshaw There are also four.

brave cat be the first player:

– Win one NFL championship in 3 different decades

– Start & win one super bowl for a group in both conferences

– Won many titles after turning 40

Some of Tom Brady’s crazier stats:

  • Most touchdowns in NFL history
  • The only midfielder to have 600 touchdown passes in his career in the regular season
  • Most passes in NFL history
  • Most winning regular season in NFL history
  • Most playoff wins in NFL history (35)
  • Thirty-five career playoff wins are 19 more than any other QB (Joe Montana second with 16)
  • Most Super Bowl (10) and won (seven) wins in NFL history
  • Five times Super Cup MVPthe most in NFL history
  • All-time playoff leader in touchdowns, passes and finishes
  • Fifteen Pro Bowl selections, the most in NFL history

With both Brady announcing his retirement today and Ben Roethliesberger announcing his retirement a year ago, what if Aaron Rodgers follow? And, just two more years from ‘s retirement Drew BreesThe NFL finds itself at a critical juncture to change defenders for the mainstays of the league.

Is there any chance that the NFL could move from a “QB-led league” to another REALLY fast?

With the success of Patrick Mahomes and Jaylen Hurts, perhaps nothing has changed.

Tom Brady’s original retirement statement on Instagram in 2022:

I have always believed that the sport of football is an all-around sport — without a 100% commitment you won’t succeed and success is what I love so much about our game. Having a physical, mental, and emotional challenge EVERY day allows me to reach my highest potential. And I’ve been trying my best for the past 22 years. There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life.

This is hard for me to write down, but it goes like this: I won’t make that competing commitment anymore. I love my NFL career and now is the time to focus my time and energy on other things that need my attention.

I’ve been thinking a lot over the past week and have asked myself tough questions. And I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved. My teammates, coaches, competitors and fans deserve me 100%, but right now, it’s best for me to give up the playing field to the next generation of dedicated and dedicated athletes.

for me bucs teammates for the past two years, I love you, and I love going to war with you. You’ve dug so deep to challenge yourself and it’s inspired me to wake up every day and give my all to you. I am always here for you and want to see you continue to push yourself to be the best. I couldn’t be happier with what we’ve achieved together.

To all Bucs fans, thank you. I didn’t know what to expect when I got here, but your support and embrace has enriched my life and that of my family. I have been honored to play for such a passionate and joyful fanbase. What a Krewe!!!

To the city of Tampa and the whole of Tampa-St. Petersburg, thank you. It’s great to be a resident of such an interesting place to live. I want to be invited to our next boat parade!

To the Glazer family, thank you for giving me the opportunity and for supporting me. I know I have been demanding sometimes, but you provided everything we needed to win and your ownership is everything a player could ask for.

To Jason Licht, thank you for your daily support and friendship – I will never forget it. I’ve never been through a free agency and I’m a bit worried about how we might achieve success. Your leadership has given me confidence, and I will always be grateful.

To my head coach, Bruce Arians, thank you for supporting me! Your unwavering leadership and guidance is ideal. There is no way we could have succeeded without your experience, intuition and wisdom. I am very touched.

To all the Bucs coaches, my sincere thanks for all the hard work, dedication and discipline that made for a winning team. I have learned so much from all of you and will value the relationships we have.

To each and every Bucs employee and staff, thank you. Each of you is extremely important, and I am greeted with a smile every day. That means a lot to me. Your job involves long hours and difficult tasks, but know that I see each and every one of you. Thank you very much.

Dear Alex Guerrero, thank you. I could never earn every Sunday without you; it’s that simple. Your dedication to your craft and our friendship and brotherhood is immeasurable. We have an unbreakable bond, and I love you.

To Don Yee and Steve Dubin, thank you. You’ve been with me every step of the way since I left the University of Michigan and before I entered the league. What a journey, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

To my parents and my entire family (and extended family of countless friends), I love you and thank you for your unfailing love and support. I could never have imagined the time and energy you guys have given me over the last 30 years in football. I can never pay you back. And just know I love you so much.

And finally my wife, Gisele, and my kids Jack, Benny and Vivi. You are my inspiration. Our family is my greatest achievement. I always go out on the field and come home to the most loving and supportive wife who has done EVERYTHING for our family to allow me to focus on my career. Her selflessness has allowed me to reach new heights in my career, and I cannot express how much you mean to me and our family. Te amo amor da minha vida.

My competitive career has been a thrilling ride, beyond my imagination, and full of ups and downs. When you’re in it every day, you really don’t think about any kind of ending. However, as I sit here now, I think about all of the amazing players and coaches I’ve had the honor of playing with and facing – the competition is fierce and deep, RIGHT. WE LIKE. But friendships and relationships are also fierce and deep. I will remember and cherish these memories and revisit them often. I feel like the luckiest person in the world.

The future is interesting. I’m fortunate to have co-founded incredible companies like @autograph.io @bradybrand @tb12sports that I’m excited to continue helping build and grow, but what exactly will my days look like? work is going on. Like I said earlier, I’ll do it day by day. I know for sure that I want to spend a lot of time with other people and try to enrich their lives, like so many people have done for me.

With so much love, appreciation and gratitude,

tom
