THIS is the moment an angry neighbor threatened to call the police to arrest a gardener for “making too much noise” – and it caused mixed reactions.

The distressed man was caught on camera as he reprimanded workers on a suburban street in the west Sydney, Australiasparked outrage online.

The viral video has been shared to YouTube and shows the gardener tirelessly cutting through an untended front yard.

As the man was lowering the knee-high grass to a respectable level, a frustrated resident approached him.

The neighbor said: “All morning, you have given me a headache, you need to end it.”

Jason Selmes, the gardener from Lush Cut Laws, was brought back and explained that he was legally allowed to mow the lawn during the day.

Jason said: “The neighbors here have seen this lawn turn bad and no one has come to help them.

“That’s why I’m here.

“Perhaps if you guys helped, we wouldn’t have this problem.”

The neighbor, who appeared to be an elderly man, stood there with his arms crossed and made no comment.

“You think I care about that,” he said.

“Let me tell you again, I’ll be a nice guy in 15 minutes, okay.

“You have 15 minutes before I call the police.

“I can’t have this all morning.”

Jason didn’t flinch from the threats and continued his work.

According to state law, lawn mowers and other power tools can be used from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

The incident happened at 10 a.m. Saturday, 7News reported.

The video has nearly two million views, with bettors divisive on the matter.

“I bet that guy is a pain** for the entire neighborhood – you did a great job on this lawn,” said one YouTuber.

“You handled it like a champ,” added one.

“As a cop, I hate when people think they can use me as a threat,” a second claimed.

However, others sided with the neighbor.

“To protect him, after an hour of weeding, I’ll be a little upset,” another said.

Resident disputes have trended online – this “small” neighbor has appeared cut only half of their common weed amid an alleged feud.
