Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Monday inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Institute of Technology (iTNT) established by the State government with the support of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and industry partnerships.
The center at Anna University campus, Chennai, has been established at a cost of ₹54.61 crore. It will play a core role by connecting the startup ecosystem operating in deep and emerging technology fields with an academic network of more than 570 technical colleges; engages with researchers and industry partners to pave the way for innovation, a release said.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology provided 50% of the cost of the project. The State Government received 37% financial support and 13% from industry. The Center has been established as a non-profit organization under the Ministry of Information Technology and Digital Services, Government of Tamil Nadu.
