THIS is the dramatic moment a Russian spy ship blows up a drone at sea in just a few seconds to spare, as Ukraine continues its assault on the invaders.
Reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs is believed to be in the south Black Sea when it was attacked by three drones at sea.
The footage shows one of the high-speed unmanned boats being destroyed by relentless fire from the Ivan Khurs as it approached the spy ship.
The original volleys from Russian The warship missed the rotating drone – but then it was hit directly.
It exploded into a giant fireball, as seen in footage from the Zvezda TV channel, which is owned by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Reports of such an incident first surfaced earlier today on the pro-war Rybar telegram channel.

The footage shows the extreme drama of the daring attack – apparently due to Ukraine – on a Russian warship.
Reports said the spy ship “repelled” the alleged attack.
According to reports, the spy ship, launched in 2017, is in international waters about 40 nautical miles north of the Bosphorus.
“There is reason to believe that the drones were launched from a commercial civilian ship,” the channel said.
A Telegram channel later alleged that the ship was attacked from a grain vessel – but this was denied by Russian sources.
“At 5:30 a.m. this morning (2:30 GMT), the armed forces of Ukraine made an unsuccessful attempt to attack the Ivan Khurs ship of the Black Sea Fleet with three unmanned speedboats,” the Ministry of Defense said. Russia said in a statement.
It added that the Russian vessel was tasked with protecting the pipeline infrastructure in Türkiye economic country.
The statement said that all three enemy ships were destroyed and that the attack took place about 87 miles northeast of the Bosphorus.
This is believed to be the farthest place from Ukraine where a drone attack at sea has occurred.
“The Ivan Khurs ship of the Black Sea Fleet continues to fulfill its mission,” added the Defense Ministry.
Türkiye did not immediately react to Russia’s claims.
Since then, Russian warships and aircraft have been involved in a number of incidents in the Black Sea. Moscow large scale launch attacks in Ukraine in February 2022.
Similar unmanned boats were used in attacks in Crimeasuch as last October when at least two Russian ships damaged during an early morning strike in Sevastopol.
Putinnew flagship – a highly regarded Project 11356R frigate named Admiral Makarov – is believed to have been damaged in the attack.
In April 2022, Ukraine sank the ship that was then the flagship of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet. Moscowwith missile strikes in one of Putin’s greatest humiliations in the 15-month war.
In March of this year, a US military drone crashes after an incident involving a Russian jet over the Black Sea.
The confrontation has increased tensions between Moscow and Washington and led to a rare phone call between senior US and Russian military officials.
USV drones are propelled by a single engine with a top speed of 46 mph – they can travel over 60 miles with a payload of 145 lbs (65 kg).

The fuse, believed to have been mounted at the front of the 12-ft canoe-sized ship, triggered the explosion of what was believed to be a warhead on board.
During the war, Ukrainian fighters used relatively cheap drones to wreak havoc with Russia.
