An unidentified Uber customer has been banned from the platform after berating a driver on Wednesday morning. The woman mentioned above used racist slurs against the black driver and also assaulted him. Netizens then took to social media to express their outrage over the incident.

The Twitter account Washingtonian Problems uploaded a video of the incident that took place in the DC metropolitan area. In the video, an SUV can be seen parked on the street with the rear passenger door open. The woman and man can also be seen arguing on the sidewalk.
In the video, the woman can be heard shouting:
“Your phone is not plugged in!”
The Uber driver responded by responding with “Turn my face off.”
The customer then said:
“I hire you, I’m your boss.”
The Uber driver can then be seen raising his hand and trying to signal to the woman that she is invading his personal space. However, she continued to scream at him by saying:
“I’m your damn boss, you’re a small piece. n**** r.
Then the driver protested to her customer by saying, “You’re an asshole,” to which she responded, “Am I an asshole? You are a slave.
While scolding the man that her phone’s battery was running low, she continued to taunt:
“I asked for a phone charger, you are the king of ignorance n****r.”
The video ends with the woman throwing another one racial slander and jostled the man.

Netizens expressed outrage when witnessing the woman’s behavior. Many people expressed fear and sympathy for the driver. In an interview with News 4, neighbor Alex revealed that police officers were at the scene and spoke to the driver. However, the driver refused to complain. She also revealed that the Uber driver was requested by racist the woman whether she can use the phone charger or not. However, when she was unable to do so, she became enraged. The driver then pulled over and ended the trip. This is when the two end up in a street feud.
“I mean I want to make sure this guy is safe, and I think it’s important to capture when people are acting that way and honestly check in on other people.”
Steve Mason, a neighbor, also expressed disbelief in what was happening:
