A BRIT father drowned while on family vacation in Turkey just minutes after his wife left him on the beach and headed back to his hotel.
Philip Terrence Jarvis, 73 years old, from Waleswent swimming in the sea while staying at a resort in Antalya.
The pensioner decided to go for a walk and soak before tragedy struck last September.
His wife hadn’t seen him for about 30 minutes and assumed they would meet again at the hotel.
Soon after, the couple’s son saw the ambulance on the beach.
An inquest heard Phillip was found “unresponsive and motionless”.

Despite the best efforts from emergency services, he sadly died at the scene.
An autopsy later revealed he died of drowning and advanced cardiovascular disease.
Coroner Catherine Burnell said: “Mr Jarvis was on holiday with his family.
“On September 9, 2022, he went for a walk along the beach and went into the sea to swim.
“His wife didn’t see him for about 30 minutes and went back to the hotel assuming he would meet her there.
“A little while later, his son saw two ambulances coming to the beach.
“He noticed paramedics treating his father and he was informed that Mr Jarvis was found unresponsive and motionless in the water.
“Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical staff, Mr. Jarvis sadly passed away.
“The deceased was identified by the family on September 9, 2022.”
