All about Anant Ambani’s Cartier panther brooch that he flaunted on his engagement with Radhika Merchant

The youngest child of the Ambani family, Anant Ambani was officially engaged to his childhood sweetheart, Radhika Merchant recently. And while people discussed the couple’s regal look at their engagement, they almost forgot to mention anything about Anant’s luxurious brooch, which has now become the center of conversation on social media.
Anant complemented her blue kurta with a platinum/gold Panthère de Cartier brooch, set with beautiful diamonds and a cabochon-cut rosette. The leopard’s nose also has black onyx and its sparkling eyes are made of pear-shaped emeralds.

What’s special about this brooch is that the leopard’s body parts can move in such a way that the brooch can be used as a multi-purpose piece of jewelry. The head can rotate and the limbs can turn into pendants or rings and even earrings. In fact, this brooch is a popular piece of jewelry in history. Deepthi Sasidharan, a renowned art historian and curator, took to Instagram to highlight the history of this brooch.

“Cartier Panther brooches are usually made of platinum or gold and the body is inlaid with brilliant diamonds. And the leopard-shaped roses are made from cabochon-cut onyx. The nose is also of black onyx and the eyes are brilliantly made of pear-shaped emeralds,” she wrote.
