“Star Wars Resistance” aired from 2018 to 2020 and follows the adventures of Kazuda Xiono (played by Christopher Sean), a brave New Republic pilot who is recruited by Poe Dameron to spy on First. Order before “The Force Awakens.” Kaz comes from a serving family and his father, Hamato Xiono, is a Senator of the New Republic. Thankfully, Senator Xiono escaped Hosnian Prime’s destruction at the hands of the First Order when they wielded their superweapon, Base Starkiller.
IN trailer for “Ahsoka,” we see a team of senators from the New Republic, as well as the Prime Minister of the New Republic, Mon Mothma. To her right is a man credited in official Disney press documents as Senator Xiono, played by Nelson Lee. I can’t imagine that there are many so-called “Senator Xiono” in the New Republic and Kaz seems to have a long family legacy of serving politics on the show.
